Comments: Perhaps the most valuable and fabled of all American WWI posters, this prewar enlistment poster is incredibly moving depiction of woman victim of Lusitania sinking still clutching her baby as she sinks below the waves. Apparently based on a true story, this powerful image is unforgettable. This is the first design, with finer printing, and is considered more valuable than the larger format second issue, due to the quality of the artwork and lithography.
