Comments: This may be the most famous poster in the world, and this image is known to almost every American. Certainly a key acquisition for any collector of militaria posters. This is the original (and only) WWI version and truly an appealing example of this rare poster...superb color and fresh paper quality really shows off the artist's intent. Replicas can't reproduce the beautiful quality of color lithography and subtle details and coloration of this...the real deal! A specimen just sold at Swann Galleries auction in NYC for $10,500+, and in similar condition.

Condition: B+, linen mounted, fine color, totally fresh in paper quality and color, never seen the "light of day". Never folded. Few short margin tears (some to the blue border at right), couple tiny top edge repairs, also a longer thin tear from right edge below the word "ARMY", but these are nearly invisible with expert mounting, except if searched for close up. Eye appeal is totally positive.
