Comments: Rare and unusual Japanese travel poster from the early 1930s. There is an actual Japanese woodblock print attached to the poster, as part of the advertising conception. I have seen several different examples of this style over the years, the poster part is simple and designed to showcase the woodblock print. Imprint at the bottom of the print is "A theatrical dance entitled Dojoji Artist Ito Shisui Woodcut printing by S. Watanabe Tokyo". Shinsui was famed for his depictions of lovely ladies and actresses. This is a very desirable Japanese print in itself!
