Comments: Extremely rare and important American Minstrel poster published by the great Strobridge Lithographers. This company was one of the most important of the American minstrel shows and at this period had given up blackface performance in favor of more sophisticated fare. Thatcher was only part of the show for a brief period. I have not found an image of this poster anywhere in my researches. Wonderful concept of three portraits within faboulously colored foliage wreath.

Condition: B+, linen mounted, fine color, some edge tears and horizontal crease before mounting, this poster was printed fully to the edge with no margins.
