Comments: Enormously impressive work featuring fine photogravure portraits of each of the first 25 presidents, with facing text page by notable Americans, tissue interleaving pages, and each print is richly printed on high qauality rag paper. The binding shows expected wear, some separation starting at lower front spine bottom, but overall, in remarkable condition for such a heavy book. This was a limited edition, this volume signed and number 998. I would guess that the original cost of this volume was in the hundreds of dollars. Truly a lavish work to find intact, most of these have been separated for the individual plates.

Condition: Good overall, the half leather binding shows some wear at the spine, hinges starting to split, all contents are fresh and bright, (note that what might appear as tan discolor in the second photo of Adams, is actually a little vignette pertaining to the president, there are many of these in the text pages).
